atesh Posted October 15, 2003 Posted October 15, 2003 I've noticed that after installing Visual Studio .NET now when I boot up the user sign on screen comes up although I only have one account so it is unnecessary. When I goto control panel / user accounts, an "ASP.NET Machine A..." has been added. This must be what is causing the user signon screen to come up. Is there a way to get rid of it? If i delete that account will it affect my VS .NET? Thanks. Quote To err is human, to really foul things up requires a computer.
Moderators Robby Posted October 15, 2003 Moderators Posted October 15, 2003 You cannot delete that account, I don't understand this logon prompt that you get, at what point does it prompt you? Quote Visit...Bassic Software
*Gurus* Derek Stone Posted October 15, 2003 *Gurus* Posted October 15, 2003 You're using Windows XP(onentially worse than 2000), correct? While you shouldn't delete the account, there should be a setting somewhere in Windows XP's user options to set the default user logged on at startup. If there isn't, download Tweak UI and that has an option that'll work for you. Quote Posting Guidelines
