PROKA Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 Whenever I try to creat an ASP.NET Web Application, I receive the following error messagebox : "Unable to create Web project 'WebApp'. Could not find a web server at 'localhost' on port 80. Please check to make sure that the web server name is valid and your proxy settings are set correctly. If you are sure that everything is correct, the web server may be temporarily out of service" :( Any alternatives for IIS , I've had enough with it Quote Development & Research Department @ Elven Soft

Moderators Robby Posted October 15, 2003 Moderators Posted October 15, 2003 Is the IIS installed on your Win2k or WinXP Pro? If yes, open the command prompt, and run this C:\WINNT\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.0.3705\aspnet_regiis.exe /i The directory should be the same location as your version of the Framwork. PROKA Posted October 16, 2003 Author Posted October 16, 2003 I have installed already the asp.net extensions still ... It doesn't work, I dunno :( haa and if I look in control Panel > Administrative Tools > Internet Information Services .... I can't see "Web Server" or something like that ... sometime I remember that it was there .... Now I see only Default Web Site and Default STMP Virtual Server .... If I try to run them .. "The server did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion | Check the Windows Event Viewer for details." Quote Development & Research Department @ Elven Soft
