I just noticed something, this probably is an effect of what was happening yesterday evening (many DB errors when trying to do something and things like that). The post counts have dropped for a lot of people.

We're at the limits of what mysql can handle. Other options are being explored. For now I have moved mysql off the site server and back to the dedicated mysql server and only have this site on EXVBF running off it. Hopefully this config and the tuning will stabalize the site until we can come up with another option.

I had optimize the db after tuning and that might have caused the counts to be off. I'll see what I can do to fix them.

Ouch, mutant lost quite a bit. I'm not even sure how much I lost. Couldn't have been much because I hit 1500 not too long ago. Doesn't matter though, they're more accurate now. :p

Sorry for making you retype that, I just noticed the post below :)

Derek Stone, you are absolutely right. I was wondernig if some threads werent lost because of what was happening yesterday. Every other page load the database error page was showing up.

Wyrd, post count is not important to me. As long as I can help out people as best as I can I am happy :).

VolteFace, I think I know why I lost so much (about 300). A long time ago my account was deleted by the DB errors and all my posts were showing up as a guest then. So now when they were recounted, it had no idea of those eariler ones.

Ah, I was wondering why some of your old posts were guest posts. Same thing happened to Squirm, but he got his original account restored.
