GornHorse Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 Hi There, I have a remote server, call this "Server". I also have a local machine, call this "Local". I have my asp.net program sitting on the Server, and Visual Studio .NET running on Local, and debugging and everything works great. I have just come to attempt to test Crystal Reports with my asp.net program, and I am receiving the 'file or assesmbly name CrystalDecisions.web, or one of its dependencies, was not foun' error. Now, I have heard that when you deploy the asp.net programs onto the web servers that you need to include the regwiz and all the other merge modules to enable the Crystal Reports to work. The thing is, though, how do I configure the Server, so that I can debug with Crystal Reports. I do not want to have to deploy the the program each time i run through the debug! How painful! If anyone can offer some assitance, this would be great. (The quicker the better). Thanks, Michelle Quote
Moderators Robby Posted October 14, 2003 Moderators Posted October 14, 2003 Is the Server on a shared (hosting) environment? If so, chances are they don't support Crystal. Quote Visit...Bassic Software
GornHorse Posted October 14, 2003 Author Posted October 14, 2003 The server is in-house. It's on our Intranet. Therefore, I need to set it up to be able to allow crystal to run on it, but aside from spending 2 hours installing the entire of visual studio (i'd rather not), i would like to just install whatever is required to run crystal reports on it. Any help anyone can offer with what i need to install on it?? Thanks, Michelle Quote
