Mischamel Posted October 2, 2003 Posted October 2, 2003 (edited) .exe on networkdir doesn´t work for others .. Hoi, when I put my application (.exe file) on networkdirectory, others can´t run it. It opens and the user can´t open/access database on local machine. Does someone know, how to solve this ??? Edited October 2, 2003 by Mischamel Quote Sometimes you´ve got to make a silent Takedown .
Administrators PlausiblyDamp Posted October 2, 2003 Administrators Posted October 2, 2003 Do theyhave the framework installed? If so you will need to lookat permissions. Under .Net applications running from the network have restricted access. in your admin tools there should be a framework configuration tool - or search these boards this topic has come up before. SourceCoders Posted October 3, 2003 Posted October 3, 2003 It don´t know is it right what i say now..... But try it. When you start the application from a networkpath, it is possible that the path to your database in your sourcecode is local. Try to give your application the complete networkpath to your database at runtime. Quote
