Wakane Posted November 25, 2002 Posted November 25, 2002 Hi, All! Just a small query. If I create a standard windows form (w/o any database access). Can I run it on a machine which has no .net framework installed on it? Thank you in advance! Quote
wyrd Posted November 25, 2002 Posted November 25, 2002 You must have .NET Framework installed to run any application built in .NET. :) Quote Gamer extraordinaire. Programmer wannabe.
Wakane Posted November 25, 2002 Author Posted November 25, 2002 You must have .NET Framework installed to run any application built in .NET. :) Thanks for reply, mate! Hmmm..too bad :( I guess I may have to stick for VB6 for windows standalone apps at the moment (I'm still learning VB.net anyway, when .net is becoming more common, I can start actually producing vb.net apps) Quote
wyrd Posted November 25, 2002 Posted November 25, 2002 It shouldn't take long for the .NET framework to find its place on home computers around the world. All the new versions of Windows will include it, the Windows update that's available now includes it, and all future Microsoft products will include it. Quote Gamer extraordinaire. Moderators Robby Posted November 26, 2002 Moderators Posted November 26, 2002 Also, the Framework is only 20 megs, a VB6 app with a few controls may be 5 or 10 megs. Quote Visit...Bassic Software
