bitelindia Posted September 29, 2003 Posted September 29, 2003 (edited) I have MS VS.NET 2002 Version at my development machine. The Web project runs successully on my development machine, but the problem is coming upon web server. I have copied all files relating to project to the web server. The web server is a internet based server. All of the other options except related to Crystal Reports, are working fine upon the internet based server. While running any of the report option related to crystal reports, gives the following error : =========================================================== Cannot find KeycodeV2.dll, or invalid keycode. Version Information: Microsoft .NET Framework Version:1.1.4322.510; ASP.NET Version:1.1.4322.510 ====================================================================================== How I Proceeded ? ================== I have first of all made a web setup project file, with setup and deployment project. Also added merged module files, given a licence key in regwiz.msm (from About option in Help vs.net option, a 19 digit code) given , Sucessfully build up and hosted the application upon localhost. The localhost application running fine. All the files in localhost application folder hosted to the web server. I adopted this procedure because I cann't execute a setup.exe project directly upon the web server. The above problem persists. I have also tried with copy project option in Vs.net, but the same problem occurs. Is it the license key should be of web server based crystal reports installed ? or Is it any method to execute setup.exe upon web server from client machine. Couldn't understand what's is wrong. Kindly help. Edited September 30, 2003 by bitelindia Quote
Moderators Robby Posted September 29, 2003 Moderators Posted September 29, 2003 Ask the web host if they support Crystal Reports, because most shared hosts do not. Quote Visit...Bassic Software
bitelindia Posted November 3, 2003 Author Posted November 3, 2003 Sorry, for late reply. Confirmed from host, they support crystal reports. The problem is still pending Thanks G.S.Batra Quote
bungpeng Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 I just face the same problem as you, please let me know if you find any solution. For my case, I just move the application to another server, not hosting server by third party, but face the exactly same problem with you Quote
Moderators Robby Posted November 3, 2003 Moderators Posted November 3, 2003 They support Crystal, can you give us a link to their site? Quote Visit...Bassic Software
bungpeng Posted November 4, 2003 Posted November 4, 2003 I don't think this is application problem because it runs fine in development server. That hosting should face the same problem as me... Anyone got ideas to solve this kind of problem? Quote
