Leaders quwiltw Posted November 18, 2002 Leaders Posted November 18, 2002 I just wanted to say "Thanks" to whoever is responsible for breaking this off into a different site. I think this new site will fill a *huge* void in the .NET developer community. Other .NET forums that I've found either have no community feel to them or they have low quality posts, so I'm looking forward to the future of these forums, which with the cross-pollination with the VB forums will likely be both high-quality and a community feel. Once again, thanks all! Quote --tim

*Experts* Volte Posted November 18, 2002 *Experts* Posted November 18, 2002 I agree! Thank you Bob (and other mods/admins who had a part in this) for doing this. I know I'll be much, much more active now! :) Quote
wyrd Posted November 18, 2002 Posted November 18, 2002 Yeah.. definitely good stuff. Now I don't have to weave through all those "legacy" VB forums to get to the .NET stuff. Quote Gamer extraordinaire. Programmer wannabe.
BillSoo Posted November 19, 2002 Posted November 19, 2002 It cuts both ways......now we won't have .Net stuff cluttering up EVB :D *sigh* I guess this is the sign that I better start learning .NET..... luchmun Posted November 19, 2002 Posted November 19, 2002 just asking though this does not suit here Is there much difference bet VB6 .Net cause Bill saying '"Better start learning"' Quote
luchmun Posted November 19, 2002 Posted November 19, 2002 is the same database(Users) being use here at .net and for Vb And why are our statuses changed? Yesterday itself, I was "Centurion" here and today "Newcomer" Quote
Leaders Banjo Posted November 19, 2002 Leaders Posted November 19, 2002 No, they are different DBs. The EVBF one was imported here so all current users there are valid here too. However, new signups will not automatically cross over. The .Net posts from EVBF were also ported across but none of the others. This is why your post count is different here (and hence your status). Hey, I have 5000+ posts on EVBF and I'm down to 51 over here ;) Quote Those who live by the sword get shot by those who don't!
Leaders Iceplug Posted November 19, 2002 Leaders Posted November 19, 2002 Heh... Thinker no longer has 10000+ posts... Divil is the top poster :). Quote Iceplug, USN One of my coworkers thinks that I believe that drawing bullets is the most efficient way of drawing bullets. Whatever!!! :-(
*Gurus* Thinker Posted November 19, 2002 *Gurus* Posted November 19, 2002 And I am sure it will remain that way for some time to come. I just have too many things going to become a .Net guru right now. Quote Posting Guidelines
chris00 Posted November 23, 2002 Posted November 23, 2002 I would also like to say thanks for creating this new forum, maybe I can get around to learning .NET now :) :D  Quote
