Guest quadrac Posted June 6, 2002 Posted June 6, 2002 hi: i wrote a program for someone, i didn't want to get paid for it because VB is just a hobby... anyway, instead of money, he bought me visual basic .net 2002 (which i think is vb7). do you work with this version? i'm finding it very hard to import vb6 files and even harder to catch up with the changes... may-be there is a guide somewhere? bye Quote
Guest Techno Posted June 6, 2002 Posted June 6, 2002 BUY Visual Basic.NET book by MS press....great stuff, but I haven't REALLY read in depth.... Quote
*Experts* Bucky Posted June 6, 2002 *Experts* Posted June 6, 2002 The Visual Basic.NET Bible is also a great resource, although it does not cover use of GDI+. PS: And yes, VB.NET is technically VB 7. *Gurus* divil Posted June 7, 2002 *Gurus* Posted June 7, 2002 I've never heard Visual Basic.NET called anything to do with 2002 before, except in warez circles. It is sometimes referred to as VB7 though. I wouldn't try importing VB6 projects, it will try and convert them but it's much better just to re-write them, because then you learn something. I've been learning GDI+ myself, I think it's great. Quote MVP, Visual Developer - .NET Now you see why evil will always triumph - because good is dumb.
