Hello, new to the forums as you can see

*cough* first post *cough*

Had a quick search for existing threads on the issue i want to discuss; all i could dig up was this:

http://www.xtremedotnettalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=73873&

I'd like to hear what people think is the best method for displaying (essentially) text content in a VB7 form, but that includes embedded gfx just liek a bog standard *.html

Should I use [the control] that lets me open up *.hmtl in a box on my form? Or should I hack my pix into *.rtf files using the VB6 idea mentioned in the referenced thread? Is there another, more groovy way? :D

To put you in context, this particular form is part of a toolset for players of pen/paper/dice RPG games that removes the geography problem (ie, you don't all need to be sat at the same table- you can sit at your PC instead).

This form is the chat window, and i intend that each post will be prefixed with a small picture (their character i guess), their (character?) name and the text will follow.

I want a high degree of control over the overall formatting of the content that is displayed on this form, so I'm thinking *.html is rather suited.

Dunno, just woudl like to hear the options you chaps can highlight for me. Please!

...And anyone who mentions parnsips will get access to my FTP containing a WEALTH of (non-copyrighted) parnsip jokes that simply shouldn't be overlooked.

If you want to display an HTML page you can use the Web browser control, you caan find it in the COM Components tab while adding control to the toolbox.
