*Experts* mutant Posted August 19, 2003 *Experts* Posted August 19, 2003 From a description it seems like a very basic book. ...Master the basics of OOP programming... My guess would be that they dont really concentrate on making something complex but very simple things. Quote
ThePentiumGuy Posted August 19, 2003 Author Posted August 19, 2003 ok, but from the sample chapter, it teaches u DirectX, i read it, and it kinda looks confusing.. wyrd Posted August 19, 2003 Posted August 19, 2003 To be frankly honest, the only good game programming books out there are all written in C++. I'm not exactly sure if you're looking to learn VB.NET or game programming, but I'd get a seperate book for each. Get one for VB.NET, then search for a game programming book written in C++. But then again, you'll have to actually know C++ to be able to understand it and convert the code into VB.NET. You can always try and learn from the MSDN library. Quote Gamer extraordinaire.
