Go to parent forum after "Mark All Read"

Is there any way to have the board automatically go to a parent forum after using "Mark All items Read" (or whatever that link says).

 

Generally, I read a forum for new posts, answer accordingly, then hit Mark All Read. Then I have to click on the parent forum to go see what other forums have unread items. Since someone clicking "Mark All Read" is obviously done with that forum, why not put them someplace else? Generally, going to the parent forum would be ideal (in my opinion).

It would be, but seeing that the forum software will be upgraded soon there's no point in modifing it now.

I didn't know if that's an option that could just be turned on (versus custom code). I've seen it on ezboard and really liked it.

 

Any idea if it's a feature of version 3?

In http://www.visualbasicforum.com when you "Mark All items Read" it brings you back to you default view. (That would be the Home page)

A similar function that would be nice is to have the "Submit Reply" button take you back to the forum you were just on, instead of the bottom of the thread you posted to. I generally hit "Preview Reply" and it's a small pain to have to wait to see the thread I just saw and then click and reload the forum link(and network traffic, too!). It could save you a nickel (a nickel, a nickel?, a nickel?)...
