dpflagg Posted June 28, 2003 Posted June 28, 2003 I am developing a Pocket PC 2002 application (for the first time) using Visual Studio .NET. It seems like I am very limited with the .NET Compact Framework in making the user interface estetically pleasing (colors, graphics, control appearance). For instance, I came across this morning the fact that I can't make a smaller radiobutton than the default. So, my questions are: (1) Can I program in Visual Studio .NET for a Smart Device without the .NET Compact Framework? (2) Can you provide some examples of good user interfaces with CF .NET so I know what is possible? (3) What are the benefits of CF .NET if the footprint is 1.5 MB and you're severely limited in the UI design? (4) Can you make a radiobutton smaller? Thanks in advance. P.S. I figured this would be the right place to ask this question, since the Extreme forums have knowledgeable people who answer peoples questions, but if you have suggestions of another place (that answers your questions like they do here), I'm all ears. *Experts* mutant Posted June 28, 2003 *Experts* Posted June 28, 2003 I didnt program much in .NET compact framework, but yes you need compact framework and it is very limited but you are pretty much stuck with it for now until they come up with something better. Quote
