I have a NIssan X-Trail and want to make it higher probably with the use of something called a lift kit and maybe bigger wheels...dunno really. I have been searching the web for ages and have drawn a blank so far. As we have a wide audience on this topper site I was wondering does any of the members know os a solution? Quote My website
hog Posted June 23, 2003 Author Posted June 23, 2003 Ain't it always the way, just when you give up searching someone jumps up and slaps you in the face.....and only 15 or so miles from home :) http://www.supertrux.com Quote My website
*Experts* Merrion Posted June 23, 2003 *Experts* Posted June 23, 2003 If your going to lift the ground clearance on a truck, make sure you lighten the body as much as you can - these things are roll prone as it stands.... Quote Printer Monitor for .NET? - see Merrion Computing Ltd for details
hog Posted June 24, 2003 Author Posted June 24, 2003 Ah crap! Just shows you how much I know then:( I thought it was just a case of raise the body and whack on some chunky tyres.........mmmm perhaps a rethink, or buy a Patrol instead:) Thnx Quote My website
*Experts* Merrion Posted June 24, 2003 *Experts* Posted June 24, 2003 You can get lightwight body panels and the like for most of these trucks - and if you are prepared to sacrifice some off-road performance you can fit front and rear anti-roll bars ... that'll give a more car-like ride to it.
