Shims Posted June 20, 2003 Posted June 20, 2003 Well, I am making a web application that takes a while to process some information. When the information is processed, the file will be sent back to the user through e-mail. This usually takes about 10 minutes to do (the processing) and i was wondering if there was a way that i could have the user just press the button and be redirected to a "thank you" page. This way they can close the web app, but it will still be working in the background until it is done. The reason why i want to do this is so the user doesnt have to wait for the procces to be done in order to leave the site. Quote Stress is directly associated with programming.
