eran Posted May 30, 2003 Posted May 30, 2003 For some time I see people posting new threads in C# forum and get answers in VB. Can you please do something about it? Quote
*Experts* mutant Posted May 30, 2003 *Experts* Posted May 30, 2003 Not everyone knowing something about frameworks knows syntax of all languages, its not hard but some people just stick to one language. You can easily convert the code to c#. Quote
*Gurus* divil Posted May 30, 2003 *Gurus* Posted May 30, 2003 People often post questions in the language specific forums when they are not language specific at all. Those forums are for language syntax issues, and language syntax issues only. Therefore, the thread gets moved to its appropriate location and the title is usually altered to reflect the poster's preferred language for replies. However, not everybody knows the syntax of every language so sometimes an answer might be given in another language. Since we're dealing with the .NET framework here, the method will be the same only using different language syntax. An answer in the wrong language is better than no answer at all. *Gurus* Derek Stone Posted May 31, 2003 *Gurus* Posted May 31, 2003 Add to that the fact that each user has a profile field that they can fill in indicating their preferred .NET language. Most people choose not to do this unfortunately and those people answering questions can't open the user's profile to see what language he/she wants examples coded in. Quote Posting Guidelines
