Leaders John Posted May 8, 2003 Leaders Posted May 8, 2003 I just downloaded and installed Mozilla 1.0.2 and although it is a little slow when starting up I find it to be faster when loading pages than IE6. I haven't yet run into the tabs problem, I like the tabs allot, and I really like the way you can configure the scripts and plugins to block popups and resizing of the window. I just might make it my default browser. Quote "These Patriot playoff wins are like Ray Charles songs, Nantucket sunsets, and hot fudge sundaes. Each one is better than the last." - Dan Shaughnessy
*Experts* Nerseus Posted May 9, 2003 *Experts* Posted May 9, 2003 I just tried dexplore.exe but it doesn't appear to be keeping my cookies. At least, every time I come to this site, I must log in again. I like the tabbed look though... -Nerseus Quote "I want to stand as close to the edge as I can without going over. *Gurus* Derek Stone Posted May 10, 2003 *Gurus* Posted May 10, 2003 I would hardly consider the Microsoft Document Explorer to be a viable browser for most users. *Shrug* Quote Posting Guidelines
*Experts* Volte Posted May 10, 2003 *Experts* Posted May 10, 2003 If you guys like IE, I would recommend you check out Crazy Browser. It uses the IE engine (WebBrowser control I assume), but supports tabbed browsing and stuff. Neat-O. I used it for about 4 months before moving on to Opera (which is all I use now, despite being a bit buggy.) Quote
AndreRyan Posted June 6, 2003 Posted June 6, 2003 Microsoft Internet Explorer is the only browser that will fully support Microsoft features though. Can you ActiveX Automate Netscape, Mozilla or Opera? Quote .Net allows software to be written for any version of Windows and not break like Unmanaged applications unless using Unmanaged procedures like APIs. If your program uses large amounts of memory but releases it when something else needs it, then what's the problem?
*Gurus* Derek Stone Posted June 9, 2003 *Gurus* Posted June 9, 2003 Microsoft Internet Explorer is the only browser that will fully support Microsoft features though. Can you ActiveX Automate Netscape, Mozilla or Opera? My response to that is who cares? Successful websites are developed in HTML and JavaScript, not ActiveX, VBScript and CSS scrollbar attributes. Innovation is a necessity, but unless someone actually uses it there is no longterm value. Quote Posting Guidelines
