hog Posted April 3, 2003 Posted April 3, 2003 I have spoken to MS who say as part of my VS .NET setup I already have MSDE, although I cannot confirm the version. What is the difference between 1.0 and 2000 and how do I get hold of 2000? When speaking to MS they said I already have MSDE but were unable to confirm to me which one? Also I'm trying to find a simply download service pack to fix my version which is open to the slammer worm. I can't find a download which doesn't go into hundreds of pages which simply confuses the hell out of me?? Quote My website
Moderators Robby Posted April 3, 2003 Moderators Posted April 3, 2003 2000 refers to the full version SQL Server 2000, it's not free, MSDE is. As for the service packs, I don't know. Sorry. Quote Visit...Bassic Software
a_jam_sandwich Posted April 3, 2003 Posted April 3, 2003 Look under the SQL Server 2000 service packs after all MSDE is essentially SQL Server 2000 Andy Quote Code today gone tomorrow!
hog Posted April 3, 2003 Author Posted April 3, 2003 Thank you dudes, the file I required was SQL2KDeskSP3.exe which has resolved my slammer problem. :-)) Quote My website
