EFileTahi-A Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 How can I transform this number (Stefan-Boltzmann constant): 5.6704 x 10-8. to a C# compatible number? Is it 5.6704E-8? Quote
Leaders snarfblam Posted November 19, 2011 Leaders Posted November 19, 2011 (edited) Assuming that the -8 is an exponent, yes. Those are two different ways of representing scientific notation, the former generally used in mathematics, the latter generally used with computers and calculators. The E is shorthand for "times ten raised to the power of", so 5.6704 × 10⁻⁸ is the same as 5.6704E-8. Edited November 19, 2011 by snarfblam Quote [sIGPIC]e[/sIGPIC]
