Assuming that the -8 is an exponent, yes. Those are two different ways of representing scientific notation, the former generally used in mathematics, the latter generally used with computers and calculators. The E is shorthand for "times ten raised to the power of", so 5.6704 × 10⁻⁸ is the same as 5.6704E-8. Edited by snarfblam
