jimmythefloyd Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 Any thoughts on whether this will be a success or a flop? I was only 6 or 7 when my brother had one. Just seeing it on the website takes me back. I don't know if I can indulge in one for these prices. I think it's a pretty cool idea, but I think it's too pricey to have as a second system to just goof around with. Do you think there is a market that exists for this type of nostalgia at these prices? http://www.commodoreusa.net/CUSA_C64.aspx Quote
Administrators AWS Posted April 16, 2011 Administrators Posted April 16, 2011 I still have the orginal although I haven't used it in many years. Created my first program on it in qbasic. I loved it. This new version is a bit pricey. I doubt I would buy one although it would be a nice toy for the nostalgia buffs. Quote Bob Schwarz, Sr. Xtreme .Net Talk Me @ Twitter - Network @ Twitter
cloudmonkey Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 I don't think its gonna work. It is too expensive and only attractive to users of the original in my opinion. More of a novelty than anything else, if those exist in our world. Quote
PrOpHeT Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Just 'cause I thought it was cool and had it bookmarked. http://hackaday.com/2009/04/06/commodore-64-laptop/ Quote Life is a comedy to those who think; a tragedy to those who feel.
jcsites Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 I dont think so either. That would be too pricey. But nice try... we were born to succeed, not to fail Quote
