rbulph Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 I did a search for ICustomTypeDescriptor only to be told that no results were found and that (presumably this was the reason) ICustomTypeDescriptor had been excluded from the search because it was either too short, too long or too common. Presumably it was too long. Isn't it a bit silly that there's an exclusion for words which are too long? Quote
*Experts* Nerseus Posted August 18, 2006 *Experts* Posted August 18, 2006 Unlucky you, your word is 21 chars long and the max is currently set to 20! I sent a note to iNet since increasing the maximum length will make their database/index grow larger. I don't think they'll have a problem with increasing it, but who knows. For now, you can also use google to do most of your searches. Try this: ICustomTypeDescriptor site:xtremedotnettalk.com Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that anyone has posted on that word yet - or google is limiting it's database, too? Who knows :) -ner Quote "I want to stand as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all the kinds of things you can't see from the center." - Kurt Vonnegut
rbulph Posted August 29, 2006 Author Posted August 29, 2006 OK, that's a helpful tip, thanks. The search does now find this thread. Quote
Administrators PlausiblyDamp Posted August 30, 2006 Administrators Posted August 30, 2006 The limit has now been raised to 25 characters, should make things a little easier to search.
