IxiRancid Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 An application uses XML file as an INI replacement. All is fine. This app is about to run on Win98, should I expect any problems using this XML file? Quote
Cags Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 Short answer, no. I used XML files in a similar way in my Final year project at university, that ran fine on windows 98. Quote Anybody looking for a graduate programmer (Midlands, England)?

Cags Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 You just used the usual System.XML DLL's and stuff? Thanks! My project was developed on a Windows XP PC using the .Net Framework 1.1, and used the System.Xml.XmlTextReader & XmlTextWriter. It worked on a Windows 98 PC (which also had the .Net Framework 1.1 installed) without any modifications. Quote Anybody looking for a graduate programmer (Midlands, England)?
