kurf Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 Yes I would like to report that everytime I come here to view anything, the pages are all distorted; text don't wrap and everything just runs all the way to the right----------------------------------------> Meaning when someone posts with out hitting enter I have to scroll ALL the way over every dang page! What's up with that too? Quote
Leaders snarfblam Posted January 8, 2006 Leaders Posted January 8, 2006 Yes If someone posts VB code (maybe C# too) without breaking up long lines it will cause that, since VB code boxes aren't scrollable like normal code boxes. That is inconvinient, but not really messed up. Any other problems like that could either be a bad forum skin or your browser, but I don't have the said problem. Quote [sIGPIC]e[/sIGPIC]
*Experts* Nerseus Posted January 10, 2006 *Experts* Posted January 10, 2006 If you're having to scroll every time and it's not a forum post, as ME suggested, take a screenshot and post it along with your browser info so we can help. -ner Quote "I want to stand as close to the edge as I can without going over. Cags Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 I get this issue occassionally with FireFox 1.5 but clicking refresh normally sorts it out. Quote Anybody looking for a graduate programmer (Midlands, England)?
mandelbrot Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Yep - I know what he means - here's a snap shot of the skin, and overlapping code problems... http://www.xtremedotnettalk.com/showthread.php?t=96351 Quote
*Experts* Nerseus Posted July 11, 2006 *Experts* Posted July 11, 2006 Well, if the window scrolls to the right because of a code window, there's not much we can do - nor would we want to, in my opinion. The code window is set to not wrap. If it did wrap, you wouldn't be able to read the code very well. For the most part people post normal code snippets. Sometimes, more often in the SQL forums, people post a long line of code and that forces a no-wrap. -ner Quote "I want to stand as close to the edge as I can without going over. mandelbrot Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 No probs - I have seen forums that wrap the text, and others still in which the code snippets are contained in panels that have their own scrollbars... Quote
Diesel Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 just put the code windows in a div with overflow and a fixed width. Quote
mskeel Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Wow...hey...I didn't mean to cause any trouble... ;) Quote
