Hi,

I am currently programming under VB 2005 Express beta 2. I know this is a beta release but I have had no problems up until today. I was running the 2.0 Beta of the .NET framework and upgraded to the final release v2.0.

Now when I go to open a project in the IDE it crashes and asks for an error report. This is the same for all projects.

I have a project finished and want to get it out the door, but I need to fix this problem.

Does anyone know of a fix to this issue, or a link somewhere that will help me stop this program from crashing.

Thanks,

Try creating a new, empty project and adding all of the source files back by hand? I just downloaded the gold copy of VS 2005 but haven't tried loading any beta projects yet.

No luck. I tried creating a new project as you pointed out, and the 'new project' box came up, but when I selected any type of app and pressed ok to create it, it just went back to the main page.

I began the install, forgeting about the beta however before the install began it said 'you must uninstall the following programs, and it named the beta framework. I went to 'add remove programs' and uninstalled the framework and restarted the install.

Thanks,
