YODA0340 Posted September 13, 2005 Posted September 13, 2005 I know that in VB6 there was a was to make files executable and able to run on any computer. This is obviously not availible in VB.Net. I was wondering if there is any equvalent function for .net Thanks Quote
Administrators PlausiblyDamp Posted September 13, 2005 Administrators Posted September 13, 2005 If the target computer has the .Net framework then the resultant .exe can be run on it, just the same as how VB6 applications required the VB6 runtimes to be installed. Leaders snarfblam Posted September 13, 2005 Leaders Posted September 13, 2005 I think what is being asked is how to produce the .exe, since "Make <Project>.exe" is missing from the file menu. Every time you build or run your program the compiled executable in placed in the "bin" folder within your project folder. Simply browse to that folder and there is your executable. Just make sure that the build you distribute is a release build. Quote [sIGPIC]e[/sIGPIC]
