patrick24601 Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 We just bought VS 2003 and have been working with ASP.NET 1.1 and now we'd like to move to use the Beta of ASP.NET 2.0. Is it possible to get VS 2003 working with ASP.NET 2 Beta 2? I don't want to have to pay just to get the latest and greatest objects and methods. Quote
bri189a Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 Beta 2 is free from Microsoft, in order to deploy though you need a go live license, however it's beta, so it's unsupported for one, and two, a lot will change between now and the end of the year when the final product is released. It's not meant for full development yet. Quote
patrick24601 Posted June 29, 2005 Author Posted June 29, 2005 Frustrating. Developers and Microsoft encouraging you to use objects and methods to make your job easier. But not making it easy for you to use the objects and methods. Grrr. Thanks. (If ANYBODY has managed to get the two of these working together let me know still) Quote
david7777 Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 It is not possible to get them working together - VS 2003 is partly based on the .net 1.1 framework, so will only work with that version. Just like VS 2002 can't work with .net 1.1... Quote Bypass your proxy and get anonymous internet surfing FREE!
