trend Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 Has anyone used any reliable systems for protecting source code so developers cannot steal the source? What are your overall thoughts on protecting source code (internally as well as externally)? Quote
thenerd Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 Thoughts: Protecting_source_code = Generic.Description.Good I think you can use the obfuscator. I think it comes with any of the pro versions of vs.net. (meaning vb.net basic does NOT come with it) Quote
Leaders snarfblam Posted June 11, 2005 Leaders Posted June 11, 2005 It does come with vs.net professional. You can also buy better ones. Supposedly, the best ones will usually crash decompilers/dissassemblers or at least simply not disassemble. I've never tried one though; I'm not developing anything groundbreaking or particularly secure. Quote [sIGPIC]e[/sIGPIC]
trend Posted June 12, 2005 Author Posted June 12, 2005 Ahh sorry. I ment if multiple people dev code. What could I do to make sure one developer doesn't steal all the source code. Quote
