LDAP Authentication Help

I have followed Microsoft's directions for authenticating using LDAP (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;326340) and yet, when I attempt to logon, I receive the following error message:

 

Error authenticating. Error authenticating user. ?

 

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

Do you explicitly need Forms Authentication?

If not, then use impersonation of one (admin prefferably) user and log into AD.

 

- web.config -

<identity impersonate="true" userName="DOMAIN\adminUSER" password="PASSWORD"/>

 

- put upper line into web.config under system.web tags -
