I have just completed development of a program for a windows CE device. cleverly, i used visual studio.NET, which isn't supported by CE :o !! Apparently Visual Basic 4.0 will allow me to deploy to my Husky fex 21, but i can't seem to get a hold of a copy anywhere! if anybody knows if a) this is the correct development software for me to use? and b) if so, where can i get it from? i would be much obliged!!

many thanks,

tomos

In VS .NET when y ou start a new project, both C# and VB have and option called "Smart Device Application", then a window will come up asking what platform you want, either Pocket PC, or Windows CE.

Bloody windows CE

Visual Studio .NET will only deploy to Windows CE .NET devices. A chap at Itronix (the company who manufacture the Husky fex 21) told me so. The husky is running the original and crappy windows CE, not WinCE.NET, and so does not support the compact framework. Confusing I know!

Somebody mentioned "eMbedded", but I don't know what that is either  .
