Cannot Debug On Visual Studio .net

Hi,

I installed Visual Studio .Net 2003 after formatting my computer and i cannot debug anything, i also have tried to show the debug processes in the tools option and nothing happens, well, visual studio doesn´t work. I can only run an application without debugging it. I tried to reinstall, uninstall, repair the installation, but those things don´t work. I don´t know what to do, knowing that the Visual Studio i had worked properly before formatting.

Did you check the debug options in the project's properties?

I see everything in order. At work I have the same, but it is at home where i have the problem. I´m starting to think that it could be another process running in my computer, i don´t know...

Are there other users on your home computer (are you the administrator)? Did you install VS as you? Are you in the debuggers user group?

Silly question, but have you selected release instead of debug?

That's a good point Jay; Also, when you compile do you see PDB files with the same name as your assemblies?

I DON´T THINK IT WAS A SILLY QUESTION, I know the release option, but i needed to debug in order to see some variables.... I use Visual Studio every day and i haven´t seen that in years. At last I found the problem, a patch of Norton Internet Security for its firewall downloaded automatically from Symantec blocks the debug of visual studio, at least with the versions I have.
