maximise child form...

When I maximise one of the child forms in my application and then open another child form this form is maximised as well, is there a way to stop this.

 

i.e. when I maximise a child form this does not have a knock-on-effect and make every form maximise????

All MDI applications behave this way. Your only option is to un-maximize the child form when you want to open another one.

You could just get rid of the maximize box.

That is the standard behaviour for MDI children - is there a particular reason you do not want it to work this way i.e. floating tool windows or similar? If so there may be an alternative to making those particular forms MDI children.

Not a bad idea, think I will make the other forms floating as there is no reason to have them as child.
