Run embedded firebird directly from a CD?

I'm wondering if it is possible to run an embedded firebird database directly from a CD. I've attempted to do this without success, I only get an no permission to read/write access to the database error when I try to open it from a CD.

Write access will not be possible for any database on a cd.

 

If you can make the connection to the database readonly this should work..... I have done t for an access database but I don't know the firebird database nor the options you can set to your connection

Yeah I know and the program running from the CD wont be doing any writing to the database only viewing the info.

I've been searching for options to set up the connection to read-only but without any results.
