lothos12345 Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 I am trying to develop a repository of VB.NET code development for reuse in later projects if needed. We would need to know what is in the repository and a methology for storing the code. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Quote
mskeel Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 CVS You can get a windows version, CVSNT at http://www.cvsnt.com/cvspro/ And an easy to use interface... http://www.tortoisecvs.org/ Of course this assumes you have a computer that can act as a server among developers... Quote

lothos12345 Posted April 11, 2005 Author Posted April 11, 2005 The examples were great however are there any free code repositories that are just as good? And in addition to earlier requirements preferably a browseable library that can be browsed by all clients has needed. Quote
mskeel Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 CVS will do all that you ask. Do some research on it and I do not think you will be dissapointed. Here's a script I found just now that will allow you to set up http access to your repository for easier browsing... http://cvs.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/?cvsroot=debian-amd64 And if you want examples of where CVS is used, everything on SourceForge uses it. HJB417 Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 sourcegear comes with 2 free accounts (the admin account, and one you create). Anymore will cost $. Quote
