Macaco Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 Hello, I've made a form application with visual c++ .net , and when I compile it I have an exe. Then I pass this exe to a friend of mine that has not the .net framework installed ("normal" people usually don't have it, of course) and when he tries to run the exe he gets this error: "The application could not be inicialized properly (0xc000135). Click OK to finish the application." This happens beacause he doesn't have the .NET Framework installed. But how come can it be??? .NET applications cannot run without .net framework ? is it true? I suppose there is a way to put the .net framework libraries or something smaller into my exe, right?????? Thank you for your help Quote
thenerd Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 Actually, "normal" people should have it. It can be downloaded from a windows update.. give me a second and I'll get the link. http://v5.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/v5consumer/default.aspx?ln=en-us That's the link for windows update. .net framework isn't a critical update though so sometimes people will skip over it. *Experts* mutant Posted January 25, 2005 *Experts* Posted January 25, 2005 It is starting to be as normal as it can be. Even ATI (graphics card maker) incpororated .NET Framework into their driver releases. And that, is a good thing. Quote
thenerd Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 Yeah. Within a year, Microsoft will force it upon the populace. Quote
bri189a Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 Norton is putting .NET on too... may .NET take over the world!!!!! Fun part will be later this year trying to get everyone to get 2.0 on! Quote
