Guest TheIrishCoder Posted July 24, 2002 Posted July 24, 2002 I've read 4 books so I'm not an authority on the matter but I would recommend Programming Visual Basic.Net by Francesco Balena - A massive book that covers so much and covers it well. Nothing on remoting though, just in case you want that. Quote
Dodgeram01 Posted July 25, 2002 Posted July 25, 2002 I'm with TheIrishCoder on this one. I have the same book. I also have Coding Techniques For Microsoft Visual Basic by John Connell, and it is also a nice book. That book also comes with it in eBook form. The one by Francesco Balena comes with a DVD 60 day trial of Visual Studio .NET, and an eBook of Programming Microsoft Visual Basic 6. I thought I'd point that out, because it is misrepresented on Amazon. I may not have been influenced as much to by the book, had I known the ebook wasn't of the actual book. Oh well. It is still loaded with helpful info regardless. Quote Dodge Grab Life By The Horns
Guest Paul_sn Posted August 2, 2002 Posted August 2, 2002 I would recommend Programming VB.NET: A guide for experienced programmers by Gary Cornell and Johnathan Morisson Quote

Guest afrinspray Posted August 5, 2002 Posted August 5, 2002 It really depends what kind of programmer you are. I prefer all the Deitel books, because I learned how to program using them, and they all have the same structure. I think the Deitel are more geared toward beginner programming techniques, but I still dig em. Quote
