The help file say to put images that are to be accessed at runtime in the "My Pictures" file because most users have one. But wouldn't it be more effective to stick them in the bin folder so that all of the components of the application are "all in one place"?

in my eyes its more effective to place it in a submap in your Bin folder

And offcourse not everyone has Windows Xp and A My Pictures Folder.

Ppl with other language have something like me "Mijn Afbeeldingen" its the same folder but its translated. another problem

 

Me.BackgroundImage = Image.FromFile("backgrounds\1.jpg")
