Inserting Data Into A Database

Hello all, I wander if anyone can help me.

 

I am trying INSERT some data at a specific place in my database, but I can�t seem to get it right.

 

My SQL statement is:

String sql = "UPDATE Players SET OldAppPosition = 10 WHERE PlayerID = 99"; 

 

I am using J# .NET with an Access database using OleDbConnection. My problem is that I don�t know how to execute the query. I have the connection setup, I just can�t workout how to do it.

 

Any help will be gratefully received.

you would also need to create a command object and assign the string to it's commandText property, then you could call it's ExecuteNonQuery method.
