bri189a Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 Those of you lucky devils that have it, I've been curious about something. Has MS redesigned the web controls, and basic rendering to output W3C compliant or are we all going to need to rollover our filters? Also is it outputing div tags now instead of table tags...which are degraded? Quote
*Gurus* divil Posted September 29, 2004 *Gurus* Posted September 29, 2004 I'm pretty sure ASP.NET 2.0 outputs XHTML. Tables aren't "degraded". Quote MVP, Visual Developer - .NET Now you see why evil will always triumph - because good is dumb. My free .NET Windows Forms Controls and Articles
bri189a Posted September 29, 2004 Author Posted September 29, 2004 Correct, they are not officialy degraded...sorry for the wrong choice of words; I've degraded them in my mind though. Please take a look at the following: http://www.alistapart.com/articles/tohell/ Scroll down to the paragraph with the heading Are you saying that HTML tables are dead? Also, I have links to other sites that point on some performance issues with tables vs. div's, and basically a lot of CSS advantages stuff vs the way 'we' traditionally do things. Quote
