Access the print spooler

How do I access the print spooler. I am not trying to print, all I want to do is monitor the spooler so that I could get informations like: # print sessions it has had, # of pages printed in each session, know if a print was successful or not.

 

I know that all these info, I'd have to programmatically derive at them however this wld be only possible if I'm able to monitor the print spooler. Help.
