Getting Adapter Name

I was wondering which thing returns the name of the current graphics card you are using EG: "NVIDIA GEFORCE 2 PRO/GTS" in a string format.

You can look at the AdapterDetails object to get at the Description property. Judging by the samples I've seen, this property may only be available for hardware devices.

 

You can loop through the Manager.Adapters collection with something like:

foreach (AdapterInformation ai in Manager.Adapters)
{
System.Diagnostics.Debug.WriteLine(ai.Information.Description);
}

 

The Adapters collection of the Manager object is static so it doesn't need to be instantiated.
