huby Posted June 14, 2004 Posted June 14, 2004 has anybody used/purchased/tried a smartphone device ? i recently sold my iPaq because it didn't have bluetooth or wi-fi, and now that i am looking for another one, i might as well go for a smartphone. i saw one in a store, but i am puzzled by the size of the screen, which i find quite small ... i also find it quite expensive at 550 euro, but i guess if it's a phone + a PDA, it may be worth it ... as long as i don't lose it :D any thoughts are welcome. peace, Huby. ps : i know it's a bit off-topic, but i'd rather ask here, because elsewhere people will just tell me "stay away from it, it's got a microsoft OS !!" i KNOW it does and that's why i'm interested in one ;) Quote there are 10 kinds of people on earth: those who understand binary, and those who don't.
Leaders Banjo Posted June 14, 2004 Leaders Posted June 14, 2004 Smart phones have small screens when compared to a PDA because they are still phones. If you are a heavy PDAer then I'd recommend you get a blueooth PDA and a small bluetooth phone. All in one units are still a compromise. That said, the Nokia Communicator isn't too bad, although you'll feel like you're back in the 80s. ;) Quote Those who live by the sword get shot by those who don't!
