running asp.net files from a ftp server

Hello,

 

I have a problem running asp.net files from an ftp server.I am doing the following steps to run the asp file.

 

1. I am making the folder in the ftp server a virtual directory so that the IIS in the computer run the asp file.

 

the problem that i am facing is that when i try to make the folder a virtual folder, It doesnt accept the log in id and password which i use to access the files in the ftp server.

 

Do i need to enter a different login id and password.I have no clue where i am going wrong.

 

Can anybody help me with this?

You can't run ASP.NET pages from an FTP server.
