Guest mutant Posted January 28, 2003 Posted January 28, 2003 Hi, I just downloaded the extras pocket for the SDK and i found an intresting tool that could be useful to my friend. As it is provided in source code of course there would be some problems :D. Its a program that imports files from 3DS Studio max format to the X format used by DirectX. The problem is that the compiler finds #include statements that reference libraries i have never heard of... the compiler too, so it wont compile. Does anyone have a compiled version of this i could dl? Thanks in advance! Quote
*Experts* Nerseus Posted January 28, 2003 *Experts* Posted January 28, 2003 If you just want the compiled version of the 3DS conversion tool, it's included in the SDK extras. If it's not in the DX9 extras, try the DX8 extras at: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=965D6C6D-5CE9-44C4-B1A7-EC938CF1CEBF&displaylang=en I think it's called conv3ds.exe. You can search google for hints and tips on using it to convert models as not all models are created equal :) -Nerseus Quote "I want to stand as close to the edge as I can without going over.
