Celeron Posted March 24, 2004 Posted March 24, 2004 A forum for user submitted guides would be convenient. It might create extra work moving posts that were in the wrong place, but I think users who aren't inclined to throw together websites could use this as an outlet for their urges to mentor the community. Not too important, just a suggestion. Quote
Administrators PlausiblyDamp Posted March 24, 2004 Administrators Posted March 24, 2004 you mean either the Tutor's Corner or the Code Library forums? Quote Posting Guidelines FAQ Post Formatting Intellectuals solve problems; geniuses prevent them. -- Albert Einstein
Celeron Posted March 24, 2004 Author Posted March 24, 2004 Yes, I have seen those forums. However, when I try New Topic(or reply), I get: Celeron, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons: Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system? If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation. Maybe this is an error and my request is moot all-together :) Quote
*Experts* mutant Posted March 24, 2004 *Experts* Posted March 24, 2004 Post your tutorials/code in Random Thoughts forum, and it might be moved to the Tutor's center or the Code Library by a moderator or an administrator if its useful. Quote
Administrators PlausiblyDamp Posted March 24, 2004 Administrators Posted March 24, 2004 It pretty much works as you suggested - if you post a code sample or a tutorial / walkthrough into a regular forum then if it's suitable a moderator / admin will move the post to the correct place for you. Celeron Posted March 24, 2004 Author Posted March 24, 2004 That is reasonable, it just seemed like those forums were for moderators/veteran users, and I didn't see anything that said otherwise. Thanks for clearing it up Quote
