how to get number of rows returned w/ OracleDataReader?

is there a way to find out how many rows were returned by OracleDataReader?

 

i find it odd that the OracleDataReader class would have methods like Depth, FieldCount, and HasRows but no way to tell you how many rows were returned by the call to the database.

You can call an ExecuteScalar with "Select count(*) from ....."

 

The reader should however have .FieldCount, SqlClient has one.
