SQL statement problem in data adapter

Dim strName as String = Micheal J'son

 

da.selectcommand.commandtext _

="SELECT * FROM tbl WHERE Name LIKE '%" & StrName & " ' "

 

 

Problem occurs because inside strName has a character '.

Can anyone provide me with some solutions please. I am in urgent need.

You need to add another single quote before your quote:

Dim strName As String = "Michael J''son"

Since the sting is direct from databases, I thin I might need to manipulate the string before comparing.

 

And thanks for this solutions. I do wish to expect a shorter code, because looping check is not efficient.
