m7j4p7 Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Hi, I am looking to buy this: http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/product.php?view=2985&PHPSESSID=6631fa4aaf39169c8f88f6054a3df444 I would like to use VB to communicate with it. Can I do this (i.e. send data to the screen and five events when a button is pressed etc.)? Thanks Quote :) Mike :) He who has a secret, must keep it secret he has a secret to keep......
*Gurus* Derek Stone Posted February 11, 2004 *Gurus* Posted February 11, 2004 Yes. It'll be a bit of work, but very doable. Quote Posting Guidelines
fguihen Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 its fairly easy with win32 api calls ( assuming the device connects through a serial port). i connedt to an infrared reciever through my serial port this way. look up serial communications, and rs232 programming on http://www.gotdotnet.com. m7j4p7 Posted February 12, 2004 Author Posted February 12, 2004 Thanks, but I think it may be USB - there may be one identical which can be connected through a serial port. Quote :) Mike :) He who has a secret, must keep it secret he has a secret to keep......

TechnoTone Posted February 12, 2004 Posted February 12, 2004 There lots of plugins, etc available for it here. They even have sample Delphi code that you might be able to decypher and convert to VB.
