Is there a standard way to create a step by step GUI for users?

Much like what's used in Word when you send a fax?

I tried visual inheritance but it's buggy with the layout of inherited controls.

If I have a process that requires the user follow 4 steps and I want the standard [prev] [cancel][next][finish] button at the bottom, do I really need to create it all by hand?

I looked and looked and unfortunately I don't know what the correct name is for this type of "wizard"

TIA!
