I've been playing SOCOM II Online for 3 days now (I got my Lt Commander rank last night :)) but I think I must quit, I've only slept for 9 hours in 3 days, I'm addicted now to this game.

Anyone else playing it???? maybe we can meet online and have a couple matchs ;)

LOL, yeah, to identify an addiction, the first symptom is denial, and the "5 more minutes" turn to be 2 more hours.

Many moons ago I was into gaming, loved Wolf3D, Doom, Quake and oh oh Duke Nukem 3D.....

But that was in another life:(

Now I watch in amazement at my son playing XBox live with all the new games and think....oh to be there again:(

I have the odd go at Crimson Skies, basically cos it's about the only one where I can hit somethin:)

Ah, those were indeed the days. I spent more time designing and working on Duke3D levels than I did programming, surfing or chatting back in those days.

Hmm, I probably still have them somewhere...

Hog: I have an xBox, but I'd still rather play Duke3D, Transport Tycoon or other old favourites of mine than most of the games I've seen for it!

Where's the online versions of the TRUE classics? That's what I'd like to see. What if I want to go head to head in Gauntlet, or Joust, or even Ms. Pacman?

Why has no one done that? I know there are a few ports out there, but no one has setup a master server. Maybe Gamespy could hook up with Atari and get us some classics, playable online! Hook it into Paypal and charge a quarter a game or a small monthly fee.

(drooling...) Donkey Kong...

I want to see multiplayer GameBoy games that you can play

online through an emulator or some type of cable, and I want

Nintendo to officially support it right now!

Actually, this wouldn't be too hard to program with a Winsock, a

Comm control, and a spliced link cable, now, would it? Hmm,

ideas, ideas....

Anyway, I'm also a Halo junkie at the moment (and I'm in MA!

What a coincidence!) Battlefield 1942 is another one of my favs.

Nerseus, Gauntlet is truly a classic. I still have it somewhere buried with my NES and Final Fantasy 1 :).

As of right now I really got into Dark Age Of Camelot. Its a very nice MMORPG.

Atari released a package not too long ago with 100 games in it, but they all sucked. What you need to do is convert the old game, using new technology, so that you can play joust against other players, but it still looks the same (on maybe make the resolution a bit better, make it look a little bit better than it was).

joust would be cool on a network...

Nerseus:

Couldn't Diablo be considered an offshoot of what Gauntlet was?

mutant:

Great MMORPG. Although I preferred it before they started adding the PVP rewards. I mean, nothing wrong with rewards so long as they're balanced, but the skills they added for that threw everything out of wack. :( Probably fixed by now, but it was a mess back in the day (about 6 months after release is when they were added).

I'm looking forward to World of Warcraft and Guild Wars. :) I'm sure most are familiar with WoW, but for those who don't know GW is being made by ex-Blizzard employees. It looks damn nice, and is quite promising from what I've read;

HUM, I can't wait 'til Final Fantasy XI is here. If I'm a junkie with SOCOM II, can't imagine if I'll be able to sleep with FFXI :)
