Drstein99 Posted January 7, 2004 Posted January 7, 2004 I have a form that pops up, and has up to four buttons on the form: Yes No Maybe Don't Care How can I assign hot-keys to the buttons, so that users can just press "Y","N","M","D" and possibly have those letters in bold with an underline in it on the actually button caption? Administrators PlausiblyDamp Posted January 7, 2004 Administrators Posted January 7, 2004 put an & before the letter you want to use as a short-cut. The can then use Alt+. i.e. &Yes &No &Maybe &Don't Care Quote Posting Guidelines FAQ Post Formatting Intellectuals solve problems; geniuses prevent them. -- Albert Einstein
Drstein99 Posted January 7, 2004 Author Posted January 7, 2004 Thank you. The shortcuts work ALL the time, but sometimes I dont see underlines underneath the letters, does anybody know why this happens? Quote www.DRSTEIN99.com www.RAIDGEAR.net www.THERE.com -> Tell them DrStein99 sent ya!
Administrators PlausiblyDamp Posted January 7, 2004 Administrators Posted January 7, 2004 It's an option in later versions of windows (2000 and above) that's turned off by default. Under control panel -> display -> appearance -> effects, you should find the option. hog Posted January 15, 2004 Posted January 15, 2004 PlausiblyDamp, I am amazed! I had noticed this happening before and thought I was doing something wrong.. Is there a way in VB.NET to test/turn on this feature? Quote My website
Drstein99 Posted January 15, 2004 Author Posted January 15, 2004 By default on my windows XP, it's set to "hide". I don't know about anybody else, but I'm not happy with all the GUI changes in XP. Just when the general population is getting used to one type of operation, "BANG" they change it. Quote www.DRSTEIN99.com www.RAIDGEAR.net www.THERE.com -> Tell them DrStein99 sent ya!
